Maison Alvarado

En algún momento de gracia conocí a Antonio Alvarado. Pepe y él compartían un piso- estudio por dónde se dejaban caer a todas horas sus muchos amigos. A mí me parecía la Factory de Warhol pero en madrileño. Ahí sí había mucho que aprender. Me abrió la puerta y pasé allí muchos ratos, ayudando en lo que podía. Probaba sobre mí, posaba para sus fotos, participaba en sus desfiles.
Colecciones inolvidables ( Baja Costura, Costura de España) , confeccionadas con sacas de correos, anillas, trapos tejidos. Desfiles memorables en la sala RockOla.

At some lucky point I met Antonio Alvarado. He shared a studio/ flat with Pepe, where their many friends would call at all times. It was the spanish equivalent of the Warhol factory. I felt there was a lot to be learned with them, and used to hang around their place, generally making myself useful. He tried his clothes on me, I posed for his photos, did his shows.
